Jakarta : Canteen : Coffee Bar with Toby's Estate

Toby's Estate is the famous roaster / coffee shops from Australia that also had their branches in Singapore and New York. Now, you don't have to come that far to taste their coffee! Because now you can have it at Canteen !

That time we're lucky enough to have Alvaro Sanchez from Toby's Estate Asia to brewed the coffee for us. You can opted for Tasting Flight - IDR 45.000,- if you wanna tasted 3 kinds of premium quality coffee. The tasting flight started with Panama Gesha Don Pachi, then Panama Gesha Finca Santa Teresa, and close with Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Konga. This 3 was brewed with chemex. 

 

Panama Gesha is an extremely rare and expensive coffee. It's well known for it's beautiful characteristic. The Panama Gesha Don Pachi was very light in body. It was just a hint of acidity, and pleasant sweetness. Alvaro said that this last batch of beans was pretty sweet in flavor. Next one is the Panama Gesha Finca Santa Teresa, it was fruity with strawberries notes. The last one is Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Konga. This one was full body, with spices and cocoa notes. Nice !

 

You can also opted for their milk-based coffee. That time I order some Piccolo - IDR 30.000,-. They using the Rodyk Blend that specially made for Asian customers. It was full body and sweet.

For accompanying the coffee, we had some Union's Red Velvet and Bitterballen. Perfect afternoon!
