Food/Rest. Review : Pesto Autentico

Maybe many of you already know this restaurant, but since I never write about this restaurant, the question is, why not ? :) I loveeee Italian food. I think Italian food is a kind of food that you could find anywhere worldwide. The ability to adapt with the local tongue, makes Italian food became a part of our everyday life. Me myself love to cook many kind of pasta at home. I could mixed it with almost anything ! But sometimes, I kind of missed or I kind of want, to eat or taste an authentic Italian cuisine instead the 'fusion' one. And that's what I found at Pesto.

Atmosphere :
The place is sooooo cozy, romantic and comfortable. It has a rustic feelings with dark wood floor, low lighting, and jazzy tunes. They're also having an open kitchen concept, so you can see all those chef doing their thing.

Price :
Around IDR 100.000 - 150.000 / person.

Food :
Before the food arrived, we've been served by their homemade bread, served with the Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar. The bread taste fresh and I love it when it mixed with the balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

For appetizer, we order Insalata Sorrento - IDR. 45.000,-. This is a mixed green salad with Prosciutto ( Parma Ham ), Bresaola ( Air Dried/Salted Beef ) and Parmesan Cheese. This salad is soooo simple ( just like the presentation right ? :p ), it has a light italian dressing, simple but nice.

What's Italian food without Pizza? :p So we order Rustica ( consist of Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Cooked Ham and Mushrooms ) - IDR 59.000,-. The pizza was thin, and has nice crisp on the outer crust.

Another pizza, Vesuvio ( consist of Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella and Hot Salami ) - IDR 59.000,-. The Salami taste sooooo nice! I love it!

A very classic pizza, Margherita ( Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella and Basil ) - IDR 52.000,-. I love a nice sourness of the tomato sauce, but not quite taste the basil though.

The bomb of the day, Ravioloni al prosciutto e parmigiano - IDR 65.000,-. This a Parma Ham and Parmesan Ravioli in Butter Sauce. OMG, I love this sooooo much ! The ravioli taste soft but savory. You can really taste the ham. The sauce is more like a pesto sauce, it really goes well with the ravioli. Total yum ! I definitely come back and order this again ;P

Then, Bucatini alla calabrese - IDR 52.000,-. Bucatini is a hollow pasta or sometimes in here we call it with 'long macaroni' :p This one is cooked with cherry tomatoes, anchovies, capers and chili. From the menu it was written cooked wiht "Tomato sauce" but apparently, it's not. Maybe not many people here in love with 'capers'. But I do love it. The sourness of the capers sometimes light up the dish :) And for this dish, taste so simple but nice.

Last one, Fettucinne alla pescatora - IDR 75.000,-. This is a homemade fettucinne cooked with prawns, shrimps, and squid in white wine bechamel sauce. The portion is quite generous, taste creamy and nice. Yum!

For the drinks, we order Karrebea - IDR 40.000,-. This is mocktail consist of kiwi, lime wedge, orange, mojito mint and passion fruit. Taste really nice and fresh !

Frulatto Di Caramel ( Caramel Milkshakes ) - IDR 30.000,-. Taste creamy and we can really taste the caramel. Yum !

Lychee Ice Tea - IDR. 35.000,-.


They don't have many varieties of dessert here. Only 3 ( and even not written on the menu ) which is Pannacotta, Affogato and Gelato. So that time we order, Pannacotta . The Pannacota was taste so smooth and milky. But to me is just a so -so dessert.

Then we order, Affogato. Affogato is basically a vanilla ice cream with espresso. They're using Illy's coffee here. The acidity quite high when I taste the espresso, it's quite overpowering the vanilla ice cream somehow.
